Pauline:
Trained as a radiographer, but with a lifetime spent as a farmer's wife Pauline has a vast amount of experience in animal husbandry. As a natural progression from calving cows and lambing sheep, the breeding of Field Trial Labradors followed. An opportunity arose to fulfil an ambition and open a boarding kennel offering top class care and excellent facilities. Pauline's special interest lies with the working dog and she was honoured to be asked to look after the trainee Guide Dogs in Northern Ireland. The senior citizens and dogs with special needs are also very important to her.
Paula:

Paula is our most senior member of staff with overall responsibility for the daily running of the kennels. She has a very calm approach towards the dogs in her care and has an excellent way with dogs needing special attention. She is particularly fond of the smaller breeds.
Emma:

Emma began working for the kennels as part of her Duke of Edinburgh bronze award and has worked her way up to become one of our senior members of staff. She is a great addition to the team with her bubbly and enthusiastic personality.
Nicola:

Nicola has just returned from maternity leave and has obtained a BTech National Diploma in Small Animal Care. She is a keen worker and gets much satisfaction working with, and gaining the confidence of shy and nervous first time boarders.
Jacky:

Jacky has always had a great love of animals especially dogs. She previously worked for nine years with Guide Dogs for the Blind, during which time she achieved her qualification in Dog Health & Welfare. These skills come in very useful when working at the kennels. The most rewarding part of her job is gaining the trust of a timid dog and getting to know all the different personalities.
Margaret:

Margaret's background in nursing is an advantage when it comes to administration of medicines and injections. She particularly enjoys spending time with our more senior residents and any other of our guests in need of extra TLC.
Tanya

Tanya is currently at Art College and works during the weekends and holiday times. She is fond of working with the larger breeds.
Rachael and Jen :
Rachael graduated from Loughborough University and has spend the winter travelling overseas. When she returns in February she will join the team full time until she returns to further education in September.
Jen will graduate from QUB this year and has worked part time at Whinney Hill Kennels for the last number of years. She is an invaluable member of the team and, being a farmer's daughter has great experience in animal care.
